DIY Forum

The issues and prospects for developing the market of building and finishing materials and the DIY trade forum took place on 4 April 2017. The DIY Forum drew a lot of interest from leading companies in the industry and attracted more than 400 participants including senior management from more than 150 DIY retail chains and 250 representatives of manufacturers of building and finishing materials and DIY products.

The Forum opened with a report from Svetlana Sileninaya, Head of Consumer Markets at information and analytics agency INFOLine, on the winners of the Advice Russia TOP ratings for the New Product of the Year 2017.

INFOLine General Director Ivan Fedyakov delivered a detailed report on the market of DIY building and finishing materials, introducing an area of discussion throughout the event.

The first session of the DIY Forum 2017 was the plenary discussion DIY chain ratings and points of growth for the market of goods for construction and the home. As per tradition, leading DIY retail chains summed up the results of industry development in 2016, shared their plans for further development, and discussed the most pressing issues and industry trends.

The second half of the Forum was opened by Philippe Mougeot, Marketing Director, Leroy Merlin, and Boris Sidorov, Marketing Director at Kashirsky Dvor.

Тhe topic of the plenary session was the issue of new solutions for effective growth and development for suppliers of building and finishing materials and DIY chains. Representatives of leading Russian and international companies discussed cooperation with retail chains and effective promotional tools, and shared their views on the development of the industry.

The Forum ended on Issues and prospects for market development for building and finishing materials and DIY chains with a special session from Grigoriya Artamanov, Key Account Manager, Yandex. Mr Artanamov presented a detailed industry report on various sectors of the DIY industry.
